In moderation, alcohol is enjoyed by many and may have some health and social benefits. Alcohol can be associated with having a good time or simply relieving the stress of every day life.

However, the effects of drinking too much alcohol are pretty much universally understood and accepted, and yet, as a deeply rooted social habit, for many people it can be hard to manage. 20 to 25% people who drink alcohol consume more than is healthy in the form of binges or through chronic drinking related conditions such as alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence.

Many believe alcohol reduces anxiety, helps relaxation and improves quality of sleep, but in fact the opposite is true. The medical reality is that alcohol can lead to a number of physical problems (such as liver damage, high blood pressure and heart problems) and can have a significant impact on emotional and mental wellbeing, relationships, performance at work, motivation, athletic endurance and more.

Whether you wish to stop completely or want to simply stop after a drink or two, we can help you to:

  • Think about alcohol differently;
  • Reduce the impact of any withdrawal associated with reducing or ceasing alcohol consumption;
  • Provide you with the tools to prevent a relapse
